This poker blog is so creative, I might just start reading poker blogs again.

Close but no cigar
So much for my dream of joining the fraternity of 3-Time Mookie Winners. The deck hit me in the face. I recorded the entire tournament so if I get ambitious I might post video of a couple hands to prove it.Congrats to pvanharibo, well-played and I enjoyed the heads-up match.

Since when did MTTs become boring?
I've noticed a really bad leak in my game: boredom.
In the second hour of an MTT, I can't stand it anymore. Fold. Fold. Fold. So I try something, anything to get my head back in the game and wind up doing my own version of the Mike Matusow Blowup, and bounce out with some idiotic hand like A3o. I should just stay away from these things. But, just when I think I've got myself out, they suck me back in again.
How do you know when you're bored with the game? For me, it's when I'm checking out Redtube during a tourney. Sick, I know.

Cleaning up my act
by BSN
Just did some clean-up of my draft posts. Deleted a bunch of alcohol fueled "I'm so depressed" draft posts written while my family was back in Jacksonville and I was camped out in a hotel and a corporate apartment, waiting for them to join me.
Ain'tcha glad I spared you the drama?
So, we're a family again, living in a cute blue house in Huntsville, AL. I mention the color because when we were looking to rent a house we had a lot of difficulty and were about to give up and head to an apartment. We made one last tour of a neighborhood we liked on an April Sunday morning and the littlest Biggette piped up from the backseat, "I think we should rent a blue house, Daddy".
Turned the corner and there was a blue house for rent. Don't mess with L'ill Biggette, she channels God's voice. Like Metatron in Dogma without the booze-spitting.
Work is going well. A few months ago I wrote that I was going all-in with my career, while holding ATo. Four months in and the turn has appeared and it's T-T-rag, rainbow. Now I have to dodge the 2-outer on the turn and river. We ain't out of the woods yet, but we're looking good.

Funny how this works...
by BSN
Playing more poker = Blogging more.
Playing less poker = Blogging less.
I don't know what that means, except that I don't waste much time blogging unless I've got something to blog about.
This week, I may try to make it back to the Mookie. Been a couple weeks and I'm due, dammit! ;-)
Or not.

Bankroll Boosting Tips
Summer time is really the best time to take advantage of bonuses and promos from the poker sites. With the WSOP going on, ESPN coverage starting up, etc., it seems all the poker sites are looking to get a chunk of the traffic that results from these events. Here are a few bankroll boosting tips for new players or regulars who might be looking to cash in on some promotions this summer.
1. Search for bonuses. Don't just take the default bonus offered by the poker site. Players outside of the USA have the best choices, and the iPoker rooms are really making a drive to pick up new players. A few excellent iPoker bonuses are found here:
The OnGame network is another network known for decent population and loose games. Try out this Red Kings Deposit Bonus Code for a fat 1000% matching bonus up to $1000.
2. If you're a high volume player, you should be checking out rakeback deals. Here are some good programs that work for both USA and non-USA players:
3. Finally, for new players who are looking to just dip their feet in the pool, you might check out a no deposit bonus or two. There is an interesting guide on the No Deposit Bonus website for clearing no deposit casino bonuses for a profit too, if blackjack is your thing.
Best of luck in your bonus, rakeback and freebie chip searches!
